| Dr. Smudge appears to be the curious sort, indicated by how he has been seen sniffing around the cat house and often looks around while eating. He also likes the catnip ball on the wall opposite of the feeder bowl.

| His coat is mostly white with orange patches. He has a distinct pattern on his upper back that resembles a splatter. His lower half and tail are orange while his hind legs are white. He has two small orange dots above his eyes as well.

| After the previous naming of [[Mr. Halo]] (formerly Ms. Lobotomy) being by the YouTube Chat, the Discord server has been on guard for any other names created by it. Both Ms. Halo and Dr. Smudge have previously suggested names that could be perceived as offensive or controversial. In addition to these concerns, members of the community find it enjoyable to engage in banter with one another in the process of naming a new cat. Thus, the Discord server agreed on the name Dr. Smudge and that the prior name of Mr. Addict did not suit the cat.
