Lance

Lance is a cat at A Litter of Cats Who Love Each Other. She is one of Dame Knight's two kittens from her first litter. Like her littermate, Dan and younger sibling, Gareth, she is named after a Knight of the Round Table; her namesake, Lance, is a knight as well as King Arthur's close companion and one of the greatest Knights. She was first sighted by the global community on June 23, 2024.

Behavior

Lance shares the feistiness of her mother. When the bowl is empty, she will sometimes reach her paw up and dig in the dispenser, looking for food. She is not afraid to hiss and swat at people who approach the feeder when she's eating. She is especially hissy toward Serif. As a kitten, she meowed a lot, to the eventual annoyance of her mother. Lance enjoys eating both snacks and kibble.

Appearance

Lance looks somewhat similar to Brutus. One big difference between them is their noses; Brutus has a fat, dark stripe running down her nose, while Lance has a thin, faint dark line running down hers. In addition, as Lance grew, her back pattern developed more light coloring than Brutus's. Her stripes are very spotty, especially toward her lower back; she shares this characteristic with both of her siblings.

Sightings

July 2024

July 11, 2024: At 6:47 PM (LFT), Dame Knight was seen sitting by the empty feeder. Three minutes later, at 6:50, a tabby kitten entered the feeder with Dame Knight. Upon closer inspection, it was confirmed that this kitten was Dame Knight's kitten, Lance, and not Bob's similar-looking tabby, Brutus. Lance was very energetic and showed a lot of behaviors that Dame Knight has shown, such as constantly smacking the dispenser to try and make food come out. Lance also squeezed itself in and out of a crack outside the back corner of the feeder, and meowed almost constantly until food was dispensed for it. Dame Knight sat in the feeder, watching her baby as it ran around. When food was dispensed, they both immediately started eating. At around 7:15 PM, Dame Knight left the feeder, and Lance was able to have the food all to itself. Two minutes later, when Lance was done eating, it left the feeder as well.
July 14, 2024: At 2:05 AM (LFT), Dame Knight was seen eating from the feeder while Lance sat behind her. Soon after, Dame Knight's orange and white kitten, Dan, joined the party. Dan ate from the feeder, but as soon as it got out of the bowl, kibble came out of the dispenser, which scared it away for a little while. Dame Knight and Lance hung out, occasionally snacking, until Dan returned. More food was dispensed, but as both kittens were sitting along the back of the feeder, behind their mother, they were not scared away. After their mother ate for a minute, Dan headed up to eat some more. The family then left, one by one; Lance was the last to leave at 2:29.
July 15, 2024: At 10:01 PM (LFT), Dame Knight and Lance were seen at the feeder. Dame Knight was eating kibble, and Lance stuck its head in the bowl toward the inside wall of the feeder. Dame Knight soon stopped eating and watched outside; Lance continued eating. Soon after, Dan showed up, and the two kittens ate kibble together. Lance left at 10:06, and Dan left at 10:08.
July 19, 2024: At 11:50 AM (LFT), Dame Knight was seen eating from the feeder while Dan sat next to her. A minute later, Dame Knight got up and sat outside the feeder, and Dan started eating. When Dan was finished, it went outside and sat next to her in the dirt. Soon, some kibble was dispensed, and Lance ran into the feeder to eat. Lance left when it was finished eating.

August 2024

August 7, 2024:
- Around 5:05 AM (LFT), Mack was seen hanging out at the feeder with Lance. Just outside the feeder, there was a big, white vinyl bag; Mack crawled fully into the bag while Lance watched, then crawled back out a few seconds later.
- Around 7:20 PM (LFT), Dame Knight was seen eating at the feeder alongside Lance, who has grown to be quite large. Lance is now much easier to distinguish from Bob's tabby kitten, Brutus (as babies, they were almost identical); Lance now has much more light fur on its back compared to Brutus.

September 2024

September 3, 2024: Around 4:20 AM (LFT), Brutus was seen sitting outside the feeder, watching Lance eat. After a minute, Brutus got closer, and Lance swatted at him; they then swatted at each other for a few more seconds before Brutus sat back down outside the feeder.

September 9, 2024: At 9:07 PM (LFT), Mack was seen hanging out outside the feeder while Lance tried to crawl in one of the cracks in the ground. A couple of minutes later, Mack entered the feeder and began eating kibble. When snacks were dropped, he excitedly ate those as well.

September 14, 2024: Around 5:45 AM (LFT), Serif was seen laying outside the feeder while Lance sat in front of the bowl. Lance started growling at Serif, while moving around the feeder. Serif continued to just lay on the ground. After about a minute of growling, Lance ran off, and Serif entered the feeder and began eating.
September 23, 2024: Around 9:05 PM (LFT), Brutus was seen eating from the feeder while Lance watched from the back. When Brutus was finished eating, she left the feeder, and watched from the shadows as Lance ate. When Lance was finished and left, Brutus reentered the feeder.

Zhang Million Super Handsome

Zhang Million Super Handsome is a (new/undocumented) miniature Feeder with skin-beige carpet, and (wall behind) looks similar to that of Chinese Campus Free Cat one. There, same as with CCFC feeder, used to be stickers on the back wall of the feeder - and were removed later. Over c. 5 cats have been spotted here, but they've not yet been given names.

Mimi's Aoao House

Mimi's Aoao House^[1] (MAHo) is a feeder recognizable by red-white poster on the left side (what appears to be as-if metal pillar, but what is, in reality, water bottle dispenser) and by mass of cats that frequents it very often. Seen was black and ginger, stripped grey; cat(s) (on photo #1).^[2]

On back (and top) camera, there in plant on the right side (of the screen) and (what seems as) red, metal flooring with mini studs; as well as same flooring and two (such type) plants on (view from) top camera.
