Mrs. Scream is a cat found at the Kitty Corner. Not much is known about her yet, but she appears to have some relation to Mr. Hopper, and potentially two cats she was seen with on her first sighting. She was named after the black marking on her back which resembles the man from the painting The Scream by Edvard Munch.
Behavior
Not much is known about Mrs. Scream yet, but she seems to be a calm cat. She is most likely a regular at the feeder. She seems to have a good relationship with Mr. Hopper, being seen with him often. She may also be a mother.
Appearance
Mrs. Scream is a short haired calico. On her back are three black marks that resemble a shocked face. She has an orange spot by her tail, which is striped. Her ears are orange and she has an orange patch by her left eye, along with black 'van' markings by her ears. She is quite skinny, and very tiny compared to other cats at her feeder (notably the giant that is Mr. Hopper)
Sightings
July 2024
- July 19, 2024: Sometime in the morning, likely around noon (LFT), Mrs. Scream was documented for the first time. She ate at the feeder for a few moments before leaving.
- July 20, 2024: At 2:54 PM (LFT), Mrs. Scream arrived at the feeder again, joined by another cat who drank at the water bowl. A few minutes later, another cat and Mr. Hopper arrived at the feeder as well. Eventually she was pushed out of the feeder and they began taking turns eating. Mrs. Scream groomed the cat who arrived with her before laying by the side of the feeder. They all stayed there for about another 20 minutes before leaving.
- July 21, 2024: At 8:34 AM (LFT), Mrs. Scream was spotted at the feeder again, on her own this time. She munched at the feeder for a few minutes, then left.
- Around 1:45 PM (LFT), Mrs. Scream was seen at the feeder again, this time with just Mr. Hopper. She ate a bit before letting him eat. Together they received multiple donations of kibble and chicken snacks. While Mr. Hopper was eating, he got about a tablespoon of kibble stuck on his head, which is not necessarily relevant to Mrs. Scream herself but it is amusing.
- July 22, 2024: Around 5:05 AM (LFT), Mrs. Scream was spotted by herself. She ate for a few minutes before leaving. She returned once more at 5:22 AM, and while she was eating Mr. Rudolph came up and sniffed her before leaving. As she is an unbothered queen, she did not care and continued eating.
August 2024
- August 15, 2024: At 8:06 AM (LFT) Mrs. Scream was spotted munching alone at the feeder.
- August 19, 2024: Around 9:15 AM (LFT), Mrs. Scream was spotted at the feeder. She was seen fighting a weasel that was unseeable from the other cameras. Mrs. Scream seemingly ran away or hid after a few minutes of fighting. At 9:19AM, the weasel ran out from behind the feeder. Since neither of them hung around the feeder much after, we can assume the fight was a draw. Food was dispensed for her once, but she did not come out. Mrs. Scream reappeared some time after while other cats were gathered at the feeder, getting chased by another cat.
(Not every cat sighting is documented.)
(LFT = "Local Feeder Time")
