Mr. Cheeks is a large bicolor tabby shorthair that can be found at the Chinese Campus Free Cat feeder. He was named after his fairly large tomcat cheeks, rivaling those of Big Faced Brother. He is typically a calm cat, although he acts shy when other cats are around.
Behavior
Mr. Cheeks is a pretty shy cat, liking to eat by himself. He usually bolts away when another cat is nearby, even if he was in the middle of eating. When he is not eating, he appears to be very calm and collected. Mr. Cheeks likes to hang out in the feeder corners, usually loafing or standing there before food is dispensed. He is very patient, and will wait to get his fill. He is not a fighter, he is a problem solver, as he stays calm even when confronted by an aggressive cat. He even usually follows the cat out to talk things through. We need people like Mr. Cheeks in the world.
Appearance
Mr. Cheeks is a shorthaired bicolored tabby with a mostly white face, legs, and underside. He has fairly large tomcat cheeks, and is a bit on the chubby side. He appears to have not been neutered. In his more recent sightings, Mr. Cheeks seems to have a notch out of his ear, but it is suspected it was from an injury made by another cat.
Sightings
November 2024
- November 13th, 2024: At an unknown time, Mr. Cheeks arrived at the feeder. He ate for a while, showing off his large cheeks and cute face. Mr. Cheeks left at an unknown time.
- November 14th, 2024: At 9:30 PM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks arrived at the feeder. He did not eat, though he did stand firmly at the back of the feeder sitting in a very upright position. At 9:33 PM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks was seen doing an extremely precise loaf. Mr. Cheeks teleported away at 9:38 PM (LFT).
- November 15th, 2024: At 12:28 AM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks was seen imitating sitting peacefully in the feeder. He was not tempted by the food in front of him. He vanished some-time later.
- November 18th, 2024: At 5:50 AM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks was seen standing inside of the feeder. He assumed his usual stance, sometimes looking out to the side of the feeder as he stood. He did not eat (yet again). Mr. Cheeks would arrive later in the day at 9:10 PM (LFT). He was seen climbing inside of the feeder trying to get every single kibble, the first time Mr. Cheeks has been seen eating. He teleported away at 9:14 PM (LFT)
January 2025
- January 26th, 2025: At 5:17 AM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks was seen eating in the feeder. He wasn't his normal self, as he seemed to have some sort of marks on his face, and a small notch in his ear. Whether this was from a cat or from himself is unknown. Mr. Cheeks left the feeder at 5:19 AM (LFT). At 6:53 AM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks returned, but to his utter antisocial dismay, another cat was in the feeder. As Mr. Cheeks tried to pass by, the other cat started to yowl and yell at Mr. Cheeks for no reason. How rude. Mr. Cheeks, being the patient cat he is, lost all his patience, and started to yowl back. After the cat left, Mr. Cheeks followed, perhaps wanting to be friends with the cat.
- January 28th, 2025: At 2:42 AM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks entered the feeder. It appeared that his injuries from the day before appeared to have started to scab, which is good. Uncle Cheeks needs time to rest. Mr. Cheeks ate for a few minutes before leaving at 2:46 AM (LFT). At 7:25 AM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks showed up again, pacing around and looking a bit anxious. Though, after a minute, Mr. Cheeks sat down and appeared to calm down and take in his surroundings. Mr. Cheeks left the feeder at 7:28 AM (LFT).
- January 30th, 2025: At 12:43 AM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks entered the feeder. Mr. Cheeks ate very close to the camera, giving us a wonderful ASMR session. Uncle Cheeks seemed to be much happier than his last sighting, not being paranoid at all. He left the feeder at 12:46 AM (LFT). At 6:30 AM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks was seen loafing in the feeder. He gave occasional side-eyes to the camera during this time. Soon, Mr. Cheeks stopped loafing and instead sat peacefully. As food dropped, Mr. Cheeks went straight for it, giving us another ASMR session. Mr. Cheeks left the feeder at 6:38 AM (LFT).
- January 31st, 2025: At 2:16 AM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks was observed eating inside the feeder. For a while he just ate, loafed in the feeder, sat up, then repeated the process.
February 2025
- February 1st, 2025: At 4:26 AM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks was seen devouring food like a champ in the feeder. A few minutes later, he sat up, looking into the feeder while appearing very tired. Again, he sat peacefully for a while. At 4:32 AM (LFT), Mr. Cheeks left the feeder. The food was dispensed and he came back a minute later. Mr. Cheeks ate the newly fallen food before leaving again at 4:35 AM (LFT).
