The Minerals are the four kittens of Ms. Pegmatite, who can be seen in the Eat Enough Every Day (每天都能吃饱饱) feeder. They are named Niobium, Lithium, Tin and Beryl as their mother, Ms. Pegmatite, is named after an igneous rock that can be mined for these minerals.
As of July 6th 2024, the Minerals appear to be about 7 weeks old, and are frequent visitors to the feeder, alongside their mother.
Behavior
The Minerals are a relatively chilled out group of kittens. When they come to the feeder, they are usually seen eating or sleeping, although they have occasionally been seen playing with the feeder decorations or climbing trees nearby the feeder. They often show up together with their siblings and/or accompanied by their mother, but can sometimes be seen alone. Individually, the Minerals have distinct personalities.
Niobium is the most relaxed of the Minerals, and the most focused on food. She is seen eating at the feeder most often, despite being the smallest, and will regularly appear at the feeder unaccompanied. She is unbothered by other cats and will continue to eat even when other cats appear at the feeder - for example, continuing to eat from the feeder bowl even when a very displeased Tangerine had occupied it.
Lithium is very confident and bold, being completely unfazed when disciplined by his mother after playing with her tail. He can be a little reactive when encountering other cats, for example hissing at Ms. Ember when she confronted him, and smacking Tangerine when he growled at them. Lithium seems somewhat protective of his siblings Niobium and Beryl, and is often seen accompanying them to the feeder.
Tin is determined and can be quite rude, having been seen climbing over her siblings and mother to gain greater access to food. She will sometimes place her paws or even her entire body into the feeder bowl to gain greater access to food. Tin is also quite talkative, and can often be heard crying for attention when her mother is nearby.
Beryl is very cautious and easily startled. He will run away if a human walks nearby the feeder, and often spends a lot of time glancing at his surroundings while he eats. He was the only Mineral to not eat from the feeder while it was occupied by Tangerine. However, Beryl is also the most playful of the Minerals, as he often plays with the toys in the feeder and has tried to mess up the feeder curtain on several occasions.
Appearance
Niobium has a harlequin patterned coat, being mostly white with a few black patches. She is notable for the black patches on her back which resemble angel wings or a heart. Her face is mostly white, except her ears, which are black, and the top of her nose, which has a tiny black smudge on it. Out of the Minerals, she is the smallest.
Lithium has bicolor markings that represent a tuxedo pattern, except for his front legs which are white. He is most recognisable by the patch of black under his nose which looks like a moustache.
Tin has a mostly white harlequin patterned coat. She has a black patch on her left ear, a black tail and a black patch on her back.
Beryl has a mask-and-mantle colouration. He is mostly black along his back, although his back coloration is slightly uneven and forms jagged patches when he is viewed from the side. He has slightly more black on his right side compared to his left side. His face is mostly white except for his ears, and he has a small black smudge under his nose.
