Chinrest (actual name: So Big (好大儿)) is a very fluffy gray kitty at Jade Lamb's Cozy Nest who is often seen snuggled up to the others, or just lounging in front of the feeder. He got his name due to his tendency to let Ms. Reach lay her head on his tummy while he sleeps. Chinrest was most likely around before, but his appearance was first documented in a thread post on the 17th of February where a user compared Chinrest to their former cat. They are similar in appearance to Unnamed Siberian, another cat at the feeder.

Behavior

Chinrest is very easygoing, and only touches the feeder when he really wants to. He doesn't eat very much, but often sits in front of the feeder, letting the other cats come and go. Additionally, when he lies down, there have been multiple instances of other cats laying down either on top of him, or with their head on him, and he does not seem to mind. Chinrest typically finds a comfortable position to sit in, and sits there, fully awake, for up to 30 minutes or more. Chinrest even seems to have made peace with the dogs, Unnamed 1 and Unnamed 2, something no other cat at the feeder has pulled off.

Chinrest's zen is at a point that we should all aspire to be, whereupon no person, place, or thing could disturb him if he does not want to be disturbed. It is a beautiful phenomenon to witness firsthand.

Appearance

Chinrest is extremely fluffy, with long fur. Compared to a Siberian, he has a fairly triangular face typical of a Norwegian Forest Cat. He has dark greyish brown fur, with pointy ears and a white snout. He has wide green eyes and a bit of brown on his snout, with long whiskers and the distinctive mark of a tabby on his forehead. He is above average size, and looks well fed.

February 18th, 2025: 8:27 AM (LFT) Chinrest seen sleeping with Ms. Reach, facing away from eachother.

February 29th, 2025: 10:59 AM (LFT) Ms. Reach seen cuddled up with Chinrest, asleep, in front of the feeder camera. Ms. Reach had her legs on top of Chinrest.
