Mr. Caduceus is a cat seen at The Cow's Home (柳暗花明奶牛之家). He is one of several cats that visit this feeder; however, he is currently this feeder's only named cat.

Behavior

Mr. Caduceus is usually spotted in the morning, often seen eating. He frequently gets startled when food is dispensed, quickly stepping out of the bowl until the food has finished falling. He seems to show a slight preference for chicken snacks over kibble, when it's available, but he readily eats both. He also is often seen drinking from the water bowl at the back of the feeder. He likes to go into the crack between the feeder and the wall.

Appearance

Mr. Caduceus is mostly white with a distinctive mark on his back that resembles the caduceus, the staff of the Greek god Hermes. He has a large black spot on his head, which descends down his face and partially covers one of his eyes. His tail and the spot immediately surrounding it are also black. He is an average-sized cat with round, yellow eyes.

Sightings

March 2024

March 23, 2024: At 5:43 AM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was spotted for the first known time. He was drinking from the water bowl. Some chicken snacks were dispensed for him, which he paid no mind to. He left the feeder as soon as he was done drinking his water.
March 31, 2024: At 6:04 PM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was spotted at the feeder. Some chicken snacks were dispensed for him; this time, he ate them, after cautiously making sure they were done falling out of the feeder first.

April 2024

April 11, 2024: At 10:47 PM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was seen eating at the feeder.
April 30, 2024: At 5:14 AM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was seen eating kibble at the feeder.

May 2024

May 12, 2024: At around 4:23 AM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was spotted at the feeder. He ate some kibble from the feeder, then quickly left.
May 13, 2024: At 3:26 AM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was seen drinking from the water bowl.
May 27, 2024: At 8:06 PM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was seen eating at the feeder. Some kibble was dispensed for him; he opted to start with the remaining chicken snacks in the feeder instead.

June 2024

June 4, 2024: At 5:38 AM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was seen eating at the feeder.
June 6, 2024: At 3:25 AM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was seen eating at the feeder. Some kibble was dispensed for him, which startled him greatly.
June 9, 2024: Mr. Caduceus was seen eating during the morning.
June 13, 2024: At 4:46 AM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was seen standing in the feeder. He was looking under the tarp that goes most of the way down the side of the feeder, watching a cat walk by outside. He quickly recoiled from this cat, even though the cat did not seem to acknowledge him in any way.

July 2024

July 11, 2024: At 11:15 AM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was spotted eating at the feeder.
July 13, 2024:
- At 9:44 AM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus entered the feeder. He started eating the food in the bowl, then more food was quickly dispensed for him. After he finished eating, he drank from the water bowl for a few minutes. He then entered a crack in between the outside of the feeder and a wall adjacent to it. He hung out here for a few minutes before disappearing further into the gap.
- At 7:52 PM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was seen eating at the feeder, periodically looking outside to watch people and cars go by. He was looking outside when a kitten meowed toward the beginning of his sighting, but nothing came of this. He left the feeder at 7:56.
July 14, 2024: At 4:13 AM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was seen standing along the inside wall of the feeder. A minute later, he lunged at a cat that was outside, then retreated into the crack between the feeder and the wall. The cat outside entered the feeder, sniffed around, then left. A minute later, Mr. Caduceus emerged from the wall, ate from the feeder for a few seconds, then left.
July 15, 2024: At 4:57 AM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus entered the feeder and started eating; however, he disappeared into the crack between the feeder and the wall just one minute later.
July 16, 2024: At 8:10 PM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was seen eating at the feeder, periodically stopping to look outside. He then sniffed around, and walked into the crack between the feeder and the wall. He hung out here for a minute before turning around and eating more food, both from the feeder and from the ground by the water bowl. He left at 8:18.
July 17, 2024: At 9:46 PM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was seen eating from a bowl that was placed inside the feeder. After he ate, he drank a lot of water from the water bowl. At 9:50, he walked into the gap between the feeder and the wall, and a minute later he disappeared into it.
July 20, 2024: At 6:10 AM (LFT), Mr. Caduceus was seen eating from the feeder bowl. When he was finished, he drank extensively from the water bowl. At 6:14, he left the feeder through the crack between the feeder and the wall; toward the back of the feeder, Mr. Caduceus can go through this crack to get right outside.
