Revision as of 22:24, 23 June 2024
Mr. Virtue is a frequent visitor at the Duck Feeder. He was sighted many times before he was named on March 10th, but his appearance on that day was what made him stand out. He was seen sadly waiting in front of the empty feeder for 5 minutes, before leaving right after someone fed him. He waited very patiently, giving him his name (due to the phrase "patience is a virtue".) His name also comes from the black spot on his back that resembles a heart.
Behavior
Mr. Virtue may be patient in retrieving food, but not so much with other cats. He is very wary of them and has attacked them on occasion. He seems friendly with humans, as when the caretaker came around he happily approached and was given food by them.
Appearance
Mr. Virtue can be seen quite often at the Duck Feeder, usually waiting in front of the feeder for kibble. Sometimes he looks quite sad while he's waiting. He is white, with black spots near his rear and one on his head. He has one big, black spot on his butt resembling a heart.

Sightings
March 2024
- March 10, 2024: Mr. Virtue was seen at 09:59 AM (LFT), where he waited for 5 minutes in front of an empty feeder. Eventually a portion of kibble was donated, but he gave it a sniff and left. He returned at 11:55 AM (LFT) and again at 12:37 PM (LFT), both times not looking as sad as he had before, eating some kibble before leaving.
- March 11, 2024:
- Mr. Virtue was spotted at 12:39 AM (LFT), where he did not have to wait because there was a full feeder waiting for him. He ate kibble for a short while. He was seen eating again at 02:34 PM (LFT). He, again, didn't have to wait, as the feeder was full.
April 2024
- April 01, 2024: Mr. Virtue was seen at 01:46 PM (LFT), following a fly to the feeder. He ate kibble for approximately 10 minutes before leaving.
- April 05, 2024: Around 01:52 PM (LFT), Mr. Virtue was seen chowing down, his bulk stuffed into the feeder bowl.
- April 13, 2024: Around 09:01 AM (LFT), Mr. Virtue was seen sitting with Mr. Blanket, and remained sitting after Mr. Blanket left.
May 2024
- May 05, 2024: Around 08:10 AM (LFT), Mr. Virtue was seen arriving, eating newly dispensed food for about a minute before leaving when the light went off.
- May 06, 2024: At roughly 09:45 AM (LFT) Mr. Virtue chowed down before leaving at 9:53 AM (LFT).
- May 09, 2024: At around 02:10 AM (LFT), Mr. Virtue was spotted taking a very quick snack.
- May 22, 2024: at around 9:25 PM (LFT) Mr. Virtue was seen sitting facing the camera before chowing down on kibble and snacks for a good 10 minutes.
June 2024
- June 15, 2024: Mr. Virtue was seen running away and coming back to eat multiple times between 2:58 and 3:06 PM (LFT). This is possibly because a dog was seen eating from the feeder a few minutes prior.
- June 17, 2024: At 11:26 PM, Mr. Virtue slowly approached Mr. Blotch and Mr. Blanket who were sitting at the feeder. He was scared and kept approaching and retreating, trying to eat but intimidated by the 2 cats. At 11:29 PM, he decided the food wasn't worth the risk and left.
- June 19, 2024:At 6:21 PM, Mr. Virtue made a small stop to eat at the feeder. Soon after, he and Mr. Simba could be seen running around together. There was no growling or meowing, which made it seem like they were playing.
- June 20, 2024: At 4:42 PM, Mr. Virtue made a quick stop at the feeder. He left at 4:45 AM.
- June 23, 2024:Mr. Virtue visited multiple times throughout the night. He was scared off by the ducks who were also regular visitors around that time but kept coming back. At one point, he attacked Mr. Blanket who had walked into the feeder while Mr. Virtue was eating.
(Not every cat sighting is documented.)
