Pinto
Pinto is a small kitten in the No Hungry Cats feeder, who lives in the feeder decorated specifically for him. He is named after pinto beans, due to his small size.
Pinto appears to have been abandoned by his mother. The Caretaker of the feeder keeps a close eye on him, and is waiting for Pinto to receive an adopter. This is also why Pinto used to have a string attached - so he doesn't wander off or get taken.
Behavior
Despite his young age, Pinto is very active and brave. He will climb out of his basket to eat or explore, showing his athleticism and munchmaxxing in order to re-gain his energy. He gets easily distracted by things such as flies due to his short attention span. From July 5, he has developed an obsession in sleeping at the worst places (i.e concrete, a scratcher, the feeder)
Appearance
Pinto has a black and white coat and is pretty small. He has a string attached to stop him from escaping the feeder, which changes every few days
Sightings
June 2024
- June 27, 2024: Earliest known sighting of Pinto.
- June 30, 2024: Pinto’s main debut. He climbed out of the basket, eating and yelling for his caretaker.
July 2024
- July 1, 2024: He mostly slept through the day. His most notable action was trying to climb out of the basket but ended up falling back inside.
- July 2, 2024: A cat plush was added to his basket. Later, at around 06:00 PM (LFT), the Caretaker came and cleaned the feeder, tidied up Pinto’s basket, and added some paper towels. Once the caretaker left, Pinto quickly got out of the basket, yelling for her to come back. When she did not, he began calmly munching at the food.
- July 4, 2024: Pinto's cat plush was removed (only to be later re-added). Pinto was cleaned by the Caretaker as seen in the image, and his string was replaced. Later, at 06:30 PM (LFT), a neon blue fan was added to the feeder. At 07:40 PM (LFT), a black cat entered the feeder and quickly left. It also looked like Pinto had defecated in his basket.
- July 5, 2024: At around 05:30 PM (LFT), Pinto decided to exit the feeder and sleep around the side. The Caretaker came shortly after and added some egg cardboard with food outside for Pinto. She then cleaned the feeder. Two white cats were seen in the background at the door of an open house, likely belonging to the Caretaker. Once the cleaning was finished Pinto returned to the feeder. He viciously devoured the food. He would attack the string and exit again for unknown reasons.
- At 7:00 PM (LFT), The black cat entered the feeder again and munched on the snacks. He left at 7:05 PM, ignoring Pinto, who was sleeping outside.
- At 9:18 PM (LFT), The black cat returned while Pinto was at the basket and ignored him again.
- July 6, 2024: A blue & red scratching board was added outside as a way for Pinto to re-enter the feeder more easily, and the feeder’s curtains were changed. At 3:53 PM (LFT), he devoured some food.
- July 11, 2024: Pinto was seen eating the tuna that was added to the feeder by the Caretaker. Later that day, the basket was moved to the center of the feeder, blocking the view of the back camera and making it harder to see Pinto.
- July 14, 2024: At 4:30 PM (LFT) the feeder was cleaned and revamped. Most notably, Pinto's signature yellow basket was replaced and his string was removed. He entered the crate at around 5:00 PM (LFT) and stayed there for a long time, although he could have easily wandered off and explored as we could not see from the cameras' perspective.
- July 15, 2024:A grey box with yellow tape was added to the side of the feeder. His Caretaker also probably tied again Pinto to his string at around this date due to the fact we can see him clearly tied the next day.
- July 16, 2024: Shortly before 7:00 AM (LFT) The black cat arrived at the feeder, completely flabbergasted at the chaos Pinto was getting into. During this visit, the black cat surprisingly wasn't hostile towards Pinto and actually tried to free him from his string. After about 5 minutes of attempts/investigation, the black cat took a snack break before trying a bit more. Ultimately The black cat gave up and left, leaving behind a very confused Pinto.
- July 17, 2024: At around 21:20 (LFT) the Caretaker came and cleaned a bit the outside of the feeder with a broom as Pinto was observing and left 15 minutes later
- July 18, 2024: At around 11:30 (LFT) the Caretaker came and put Pinto back in his box, only for him to jump out and be put back in, for the cycle to repeat for 5 minutes. The feeder later at around 17:00 (LFT) had a strange yellow-ish fog. It also looked like Pinto’s string was expanded as it was tied to another black one, despite this it wasn’t enough for Pinto, as he at 17:57 (LFT) went to the left side of the feeder and then decided to go to the rigth side which wasn’t possible due to the string’s length and the poor Pinto stayed there trying to reach the now fallen side of the empty box. He later managed to actually remove his string
