Pinto is a small kitten who lives at the No Hungry Cats Left Behind feeder despite first appearing in Another feeder as he was transferred to his current one. He is named after pinto beans due to his small size.

Pinto appears to have been abandoned by his mother. The Caretaker of the feeder keeps a close eye on him, and is waiting for Pinto to receive an adopter. This is also why Pinto has a string attached - so he doesn't wander off or get taken.

Behavior

Despite his young age, Pinto is very active and brave. He will climb out of his basket to eat or explore, showing his athleticism. He munchmaxxes a lot with his favorite food being canned tuna, this diet combined with his voracity helps him gain energy for his activities like playing with Void. He gets easily distracted by things such as flies due to his short attention span. Since July 5, he has developed an obsession with sleeping in uncomfortable places (i.e. concrete, a scratcher, the feeder bowl). He may not appear on camera at times due to him being under the feeder or exploring the streets nearby.

Appearance

Pinto has a black and white coat with a heart-shaped spot. He is very small and is easily recognizable.

Sightings

June 2024

June 27, 2024: Earliest known sighting of Pinto. After this sighting he was transferred to his current feeder
June 30, 2024: Pinto’s main debut. He climbed out of the basket, eating and yelling for his caretaker.

July 2024

July 1, 2024: He mostly slept through the day. His most notable action was trying to climb out of the basket, but ended up falling back inside.

July 2, 2024: A cat plush was added to his basket. Later, at around 06:00 PM (LFT), the Caretaker came and cleaned the feeder, tidied up Pinto’s basket, and added some paper towels. Once the caretaker left, Pinto quickly got out of the basket and yelled for her to come back. When she did not, he began calmly munching at the food.
July 4, 2024: Pinto's cat plush was removed (only to be later re-added). Pinto was cleaned by the Caretaker as seen in the image and was also dewormed, and his string was replaced. At 07:40 PM (LFT), a black cat entered the feeder and quickly left. It also looked like Pinto had defecated in his basket.
July 5, 2024:
- At around 05:30 PM (LFT), Pinto decided to exit the feeder and sleep around the side. The Caretaker came shortly after and added some food outside for Pinto. She then cleaned the feeder. Two white cats were seen in the background at the door of an open house, possibly belonging to the Caretaker. Once the cleaning was finished Pinto returned to the feeder. He viciously devoured the food. He would attack the string and exit again for unknown reasons.
- During the night, Voidcat came to the feeder multiple times. He saw Pinto but ignored him to eat instead.
July 6, 2024: A blue and red scratching board was added outside as a way for Pinto to re-enter the feeder more easily. At 3:53 PM (LFT), Pinto devoured some food.
July 11, 2024: Pinto was seen eating the tuna that was added to the feeder by the Caretaker. Later that day, the basket was moved to the center of the feeder, blocking the view of the back camera and making it harder to see Pinto.
July 14, 2024: At 4:30 PM (LFT) the feeder was cleaned and revamped. Most notably, Pinto's signature yellow basket was replaced and his string was removed. He entered the crate at around 5:00 PM (LFT) and stayed there for a long time, although he could have easily wandered off and explored as we could not see from the cameras' perspective.
July 15, 2024:A grey box with yellow tape was added to the side of the feeder. His Caretaker also probably tied Pinto to his string at this time since we can see it tied the next day.
July 16, 2024: Shortly before 7:00 AM (LFT) The black cat arrived at the feeder, completely flabbergasted at the chaos Pinto was getting into. During this visit, the black cat was not hostile towards Pinto and instead tried to free him from his string. After about 5 minutes of attempts, the black cat took a snack break before trying some more. Ultimately The black cat gave up and left, leaving behind a very confused Pinto.
July 17, 2024: At around 9:20 PM (LFT), the Caretaker came to clean the feeder with a broom while Pinto observed. The Caretaker left 15 minutes later.
July 18, 2024: At around 11:30 AM (LFT), the Caretaker tried to force Pinto to stay inside his box, but he refused. At 5:57 PM (LFT), Pinto tried to circle around the feeder but got stuck due to his string. He sat there, confused. Later, he had managed to get free of his string.
July 19, 2024:
- Around 7:20 PM (LFT), Pinto was spotted playing with VoidCat before approaching the feeder to eat.
- He was spotted three times in the next hour, usually playing. He did eat at one point, picking out the chicken snacks. On these occasions, he was often seen with VoidCat lurking nearby. He also shoved his face into a can.
- At around 9:40 PM (LFT), the Caretaker came to clean the feeder. Pinto seemed quite pleased with their presence. When the Caretaker went back inside, Pinto attempted to come with them but did not succeed, falling off the step. When the Caretaker returned he attempted to play with them. He seemed pleased at the arrival of new wet food. He was then tied with a string for the night, much to his chagrin. He was later seen playing with a toy fish.
July 20, 2024: Around 2:15 PM (LFT), Pinto was seen munching on some wet food that he had managed to push into a corner of the feeder. He left again at 2:17 PM.
July 22, 2024: Pinto was seen sleeping next to a bike at 4:45 PM (LFT).
July 27, 2024:A small fan was added to the ceiling of the feeder for Pinto, who for some reason slept outside the feeder instead of under the cooling fan.
August 2, 2024:With the appearance of Hydro, who while he isn't a new cat to the feeder he didn't appear

At the feeder during Pinto's stay, Pinto seemed to be scared as his presence and hasn’t appeared at the feeder after. At the time of writing this (7th of August) it’s still too early to decide he has left forever and we are seeing if he re-appears in this feeder or his OG feeder.
