Mr. Fresh (新鲜哥, "Brother Fresh") is a famous internet cat. He has risen to fame thanks to a video of him giving the camera a side-eye (see picture). He was named Mr. Fresh after his patient yet picky behavior regarding the food he will eat.
He won as the 2nd most favorite cat in the Hello Street Cat (EN) Community 1st and 2nd Weekly Fan Poll just a few votes less than The Gluttonous Beast.

Behavior
Mr. Fresh used to only eat freshly dispensed food. He would stare at the camera and, on rare occasions, even touch it with his paws until fresh food is dispensed. It is said that he refuses to eat already dispensed kibble after eating a bunch that had been contaminated by bird poop.
He has also been seen peeking his head near the sides of the feeders to check if other cats are currently present. He will not eat if there are other cats already at the feeder, and so he will retreat and return at another time or visit another available feeder. It is said that the reason he peeks his head out of the feeder is because he was attacked by another cat while eating.
He is scared of humans, being scared away when caretakers encounter him when they arrive to refill the feeders.
Recently he has been less picky, being able to eat the Freeze-dried chicken snacks without having to wait for donators to dispense more.
Appearance
Mr. Fresh appears to be a Domestic Shorthair cat. He has a Ginger Mackerel Tabby fur coat with low grade white spotting (white fur on the neck and paws, even extending to a small white spot to the left of his nose). His whiskers are white, he has Hazel eyes, and his paw beans are pink.
In his famous "side eye" video, he is fairly skinny. The reason of his thinness was due to him refusing to eat not freshly dispensed food. Nowadays due to him not minding the kibble or snacks being a bit older, Mr. Fresh has gained a considerable amount of weight.

Sightings
Mr. Fresh is not seen very often, described to be a "Rare Encounter" by the community. Since he is such a celebrity, any stream in which he is sighted will increase in viewership considerably.
He is more often seen at the "Happy Canteen" (快乐大食堂), which is commonly known as Mr. Fresh's feeder.
Mr. Fresh first arrived to the feeder on June 19th 2023, it would take until August 17th, 2023 when a Douyin user named 小饼 record the first known video of Mr. Fresh eating kibble.[1]. It took a while to get to an English audience until October 8th, 2023, when the TikTok user @catzoo1 posts a clip of Mr. Fresh[2], which gained hundreds of thousands of views and likes in the span of a few months.
His most famous video, in which he gives the "side eye" to the camera, was posted to TikTok on January 6th, 2024 by the user @marceloeguino[3]. This video received millions of views and likes on the platform, and it was shared to many other social media websites, thus solidifying his presence in meme culture as the "side eye cat".
On more recent sightings of him from the Hello Street Cat stream and other sources, it has been noticed that he has visibly gained more weight, looking a bit chubbier than on his original famous video. This sometimes confuses new viewers who do not expect his chubbier appearance.
On February 4th, 2024, at 4:18AM, Mr. Fresh was attacked by the snack machine and had a pile of dust from the almost empty machine piled on his head. This was a humiliating event for him but he continued to eat valiantly for a number of minutes afterward.
Later, at approximately 4:43PM, Mr. Fresh was mercilessly assaulted by Ms. Kirby, causing him to flee Mount Kibble with great haste.
On the 7th of February 2024 at around 4:50AM, Mr. Fresh seemed unwell after eating his meal. According to some experienced viewers he most likely went to puke off camera. We wish him a great recovery.
On the 10th of February 2024 at 2:52 PM CEST, Mr. Fresh appeared for the first time at the Mr. Snack Feeder. He lingered for a few moments, before eating from the dispenser and then leaving at 2:54 PM.
On the 10th of February 2024 6:32 PM, Mr. Fresh appeared on his own feeder, over 600+ people logged onto the stream and the snacks immediately increased as soon as he appeared, causing him to get snacked on.
On February 14th, 2024, Mr. Fresh came in on Valentine's Day. The stream instantly got over 350 people watching once Mr. Fresh appeared, until later a stupid robot voice appeared
resulting in a trash can being knocked down.
On February 15th, 2024, Mr. Fresh came in again but didn't eat that much fresh food. The stream got over 360 viewers.
On February 16th, 2024, Mr. Fresh came in and ate kibble for over ten minutes. Several donations were given and the stream got over 360 viewers.
The same day, Mr. Fresh came again, resulting in the stream getting over 630 viewers. If you saw closely, Mr. Beef was looking through the window waiting to eat.
On February 17th, 2024, Mr. Fresh was eating kibble. Suddenly, Mr. Beef came to the Mechanical Trap Room and Mr. Fresh was quite shocked, wandering around for sometime. He ate kibble again, but when he got out, he accidentally made the trap door fall, resulting in restricted access to the feeder. The same day, on 5:50 PM (Local camera time) a Human came and lifted the trap door.
On February 19th 2024, Mr. Fresh visited the feeder again, this time appearing to have suffered some sort of injury near the eye. On February 20th 2024, around 2:20 AM local camera time, Mr. Fresh appeared again, eye drainage worse and the area around the eye visibly reddened with irritation.
On the 20th of February, 2024, Mr. Fresh was taken to the vet due to his eye injury, and there's a chance he might get adopted by a Douyin (TikTok) celebrity due to several threats from an animal-abuse group.
On the 22nd of February, 2024, A post came out on the Street Cat app about Fresh getting his eye infection treated at the vet.
On the 26th of February, 2024, Mr. Fresh is being fostered by one of the feeder's caretakers, they are looking for someone suitable to adopt him.
On the 11th of September Mr. Fresh was seen In O'Block also know as Parkway Garden Homes. He was believed to be related to the recent shooting of Michelle Obama. It was later confirmed by 2 long time Parkway Garden Homes resident that he was "Banging Like a Motherfucker blud, N*gga just ran up and spun on that hoe, Left her ass down to bleed."
