Sans is a grey and white cat seen at A Litter of Cats Who Love Each Other. He was named after the video game character Sans[1]. Sans was seen for a few weeks after being first spotted in June, then disappeared for six months. He returned in mid-December, looking much healthier than he did in his previous sightings. He was first sighted by the global community on June 10, 2024.
Behavior
Sans is an even rarer sight than his doppelganger Serif, only having a few confirmed sightings. He often has a very grumpy or sad expression. Not much is known about his interaction with other cats; his only known interaction was the fight he had with George during his first sighting. He shows a preference for chicken snacks, and makes lots of ridiculous faces while eating.
Appearance
Sans is a white and dark grey cat. He has a large grey splotch covering most of his head, with a white blotch reaching up towards his left eye. His back and tail are gray; his legs are white. In the summer, he appeared to have a skin condition that was making his hair thin and patchy. Since then, he has healed from this condition, and he now looks healthy.
Sightings
June 2024
- June 10, 2024: Around 9:05 PM (LFT), Sans was seen for the first time. He sat in front of the bowl, which was filled with kibble. Snacks were dropped, but it is unknown if he ate any. He then laid down and relaxed. Around 9:18, George showed up to the feeder, and Sans hissed at him furiously. Sans moved alongside the back wall of the feeder, and, after a minute, lunged at George, who was still standing outside. The wall of the entrance to the feeder got in their way a little, but they swatted at each other viciously for a few seconds before Sans retreated back inside the feeder. George then entered the feeder, and Sans continued to hiss at him furiously, but George ignored him and began eating chicken snacks.
- June 18, 2024: Around 11:40 PM (LFT), Sans was spotted sitting inside the empty feeder, sniffing around for food. He appeared to be shaved. Kibble was soon dropped, and he ate all of it.
- June 22, 2024: Around 9:10 PM (LFT), Sans was seen eating kibble. He appeared to have the same skin condition Serif would have months later.
- June 24, 2024: Around 6:10 AM (LFT), Sans was seen sniffing around the empty bowl. He then laid down, looking extra grumpy.
- June 26, 2024: Around 12:30 PM (LFT), Sans stopped at the feeder to eat for a short time before leaving.
December 2024
- December 21, 2024: At 5:51 AM (LFT), after not being seen at the feeder for almost six months, Sans was seen eating chicken snacks. He looked much healthier and plumper than he did in his previous appearances. He started to leave, but returned when more snacks were dropped. While eating, he made a variety of ridiculous faces, and ran outside frequently to check his surroundings before coming back in. He left at 5:54.
