Coal Ball Baby is a cat which appeared in the video "Coal Ball Baby😳 bewildered by being hit with freeze-dried food". The video, just as it implies, shows Coal Ball Baby getting shocked and getting hit with Freeze-dried chicken snacks. His name comes from his dark coating and small, fluffy appearance during the time that this video was captured. Since then, Coal Ball Baby has grown up, and can be seen at the Eat Enough Every Day (每天都能吃饱饱) and the Fifteen's Little Brothers (十五的小弟们) feeders.

Alongside his brothers Coal Ball Brother and Batman Coal Ball, Coal Ball Baby is one of the Coal Miners.

Behavior

Despite his earliest appearance, where he was shown to be very bewildered, Coal Ball Baby has become notably more relaxed as he's aged. He no longer fears the feeder, and continues eating even as snacks are being dropped. He has also been observed at the feeder with several other cats, suggesting he is friendly. He is very affectionate with Big Bicolored Orange Cat That Loves to Sleep, and enjoys playing with his brother Batman Coal Ball.

Appearance

Coal Ball Baby is a tuxedo cat, with a white belly and neck. In its original sighting, Coal Ball Baby was a small fluffy kitten who resembled a ball of coal. More recently, Coal Ball Baby has been observed to be larger than its famous video and less fluffy, although still distinctly coal shaped. Coal Ball Baby is often confused with his brother, Coal Ball Brother, but can be distinguished by his chin, which is mostly white with a small black dot. Additionally, Coal Ball Baby has a small black dot on his front right paw, which can often be seen when he is eating.

November 2023

• November 11, 2023: At an unknown time, Coal Ball Baby appeared in the Eat Enough Every Day feeder and ate chicken snacks before being hit by donated snacks. This is when the "Coal Ball Baby😳 bewildered by being hit with freeze-dried food" video was captured.

April 2024

• April 22, 2024: At around 08:10 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby was seen eating at the Eat Enough Every Day feeder alongside Big Bicolored Orange Cat That Loves to Sleep and Ms. Covergirl. As Coal Ball Baby ate, he got snacked like he did in his famous video, although rather than jumping away in surprise, this time Coal Ball Baby continued eating.
• April 23, 2024: At approximately 08:00 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby ate at the Eat Enough Every Day feeder.
• April 24, 2024: Coal Ball Baby was seen approaching the Eat Enough Every Day feeder at around 04:26 PM (LFT). As he entered, kibble and snacks were donated, which he ate. He remained in the feeder for some time, leaving at 04:41 PM (LFT). At around 11:00 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby was seen at the feeder again.

May 2024

• May 01, 2024: At around 05:10 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby was seen at the Eat Enough Every Day feeder.
• May 03, 2024: Coal Ball Baby approached the Eat Enough Every Day feeder at around 05:57 PM (LFT) and sniffed at the nearly empty bowl for a short while until kibble was donated, which he ate.
• May 06, 2024: At 06:00 AM (LFT), Coal Ball appeared at the Eat Enough Every Day feeder and ate for a while.
• May 07, 2024: At 01:35 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby was seen going for a leisurely stroll around the Eat Enough Every Day feeder. He returned to the feeder at 07:52 PM (LFT) and stared at the empty feeder bowl.
• May 09, 2024: Coal Ball Baby entered the Eat Enough Every Day feeder at 04:29 PM (LFT) and ate some kibble before leaving. He returned to the feeder at around 09:53 PM (LFT) to eat again.
• May 13, 2024: At 07:27 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby was seen in the Eat Enough Every Day feeder, where he stared into the empty bowl in hopes of summoning food donations.
• May 28, 2024: At around 04:43 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby entered the Eat Enough Every Day feeder to eat. He left a minute later, although swiftly returned when snacks were donated shortly after he'd exited.
• May 30, 2024: Coal Ball Baby was seen eating at the Eat Enough Every Day feeder at approximately 11:31 PM (LFT) alongside Big Bicolored Orange Cat That Loves to Sleep. He was very friendly with Big Bicolored Orange Cat That Loves to Sleep and waited for him to finish eating, assuming the loaf position while he did.

July 2024

• July 22, 2024: At 07:04 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby approached the Fifteen's Little Brothers feeder while Ms. Granite was eating. He waited patiently outside the feeder until she was finished eating, then ate himself.
  • Later, at around 11:12 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby returned to the Fifteen's Little Brothers to eat again.
• July 23, 2024: At around 08:00 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby was seen eating at the Fifteen's Little Brothers feeder while his brother Batman Coal Ball casually rested outside.
  • Coal Ball Baby returned to the feeder again at 10:24 PM (LFT).
• July 24, 2024: Coal Ball Baby was seen in the Fifteen's Little Brothers feeder at around 08:30 PM (LFT). Although the feeder bowl was empty, he remained in the feeder and spent some time grooming himself. He was later joined by Batman Coal Ball, who watched him from outside the feeder.
  • After some time, Coal Ball Baby left, returning to the feeder at 11:36 PM (LFT), when he ate some food left in the feeder by the caretaker.
• July 25, 2024: At around 05:26 PM (LFT), Coal Ball ate the rest of the food in the Fifteen's Little Brothers feeder. He remained nearby the feeder after this, encountering Cinder a few minutes later, who he regarded curiously despite Cinder's hostility.
  • Coal Ball Baby returned to the feeder at 06:00 PM (LFT) after rolling around in some bushes nearby the feeeder, causing leaves to stick to his fur. He ate when kibble was donated then left a few minutes later, although he was seen walking nearby the feeder at 06:17 PM (LFT).
  • At approximately 10:09 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby ate at the feeder while Ms. Unfazed watched him from the cubby.
• July 26, 2024: Coal Ball Baby was seen sitting outside the Fifteen's Little Brothers feeder at around 04:54 PM (LFT), although he did not enter the feeder to eat.
  • At 07:11 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby returned to the feeder and finished up the scraps of food that remained in the bowl. He remained in the feeder after this, assuming the loaf position as he stared into the camera and attempted to summon more food.
• July 28, 2024: At approximately 07:20 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby ate some snacks in the feeder.
• July 29, 2024: At 04:38 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby ate at the Fifteen's Little Brothers feeder
  • Coal Ball Baby was seen lounging outside the feeder when Mr. Dreamy arrived to eat at 10:25 PM (LFT). He waited until Mr. Dreamy was finished, then entered the feeder to eat at 10:55 PM (LFT)
• July 30, 2024: At 06:50 AM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby curiously approached the Fifteen's Little Brothers feeder while Mr. Dreamy was eating, then lay down next to the feeder alongside his brother Batman Coal Ball. Shortly after this, he was seen playing with Batman Coal Ball near the feeder.
  • Coal Ball Baby ate at the Fifteen's Little Brothers feeder at 07:20 AM (LFT). He stopped eating when Big Bicolored Orange Cat That Loves to Sleep arrived to eat at the feeder, curling up beneath him while he ate, then left when he left.
  • At around 07:35 AM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby was seen playing with Batman Coal Ball next to the feeder while Ms. Hater ate.
  • At 06:55 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby ate at the feeder for over five minutes.
• July 31, 2024: Coal Ball Baby was seen eating at the Fifteen's Little Brothers feeder at 09:08 PM (LFT).
