Kiki
Kiki is a black cat seen at GOODCAT Freeze-Dried House. They were named for their similar appearance to Kiki from Animal Crossing, and for the movie Kiki's Delivery Service, in which one of the characters is a cat that looks like them. They are one of three black cats that visit the GOODCAT feeder, the others being Itty Bitty and Mr. Amanojaku. They can be told apart from Itty Bitty by their lack of a milk moustache, and they can be told apart from Mr. Amanojaku by the fact that Kiki does not have a tooth sticking out of their mouth. They were first sighted by the global community on October 19, 2024.
Behavior
When Kiki was first sighted, the similarity of their behavior to various other GOODCATs was immediately noted. Kiki has an easily frightened temperament, similar to Mr. Business. Kiki is brave, though, and rarely gets scared away for good. Most notably, Kiki once reentered the feeder less than a minute after a large dog that scared them away before had left.
At the feeder, Kiki enjoys both kibble and chicken snacks and will readily eat both. It is not generally known how Kiki reacts to other cats. So far, the only cat they have met is Mr. Domino. They sniffed each other, but did not have any further action. Kiki is not believed to be hostile.
Appearance
Kiki is a fully black cat. In size, they are somewhere in between the sizes of the other two black GOODCATs, Itty Bitty and Mr. Amanojaku. Appearance-wise, Kiki does not have the white milk moustache and lightly salt-and-peppered coat of Itty Bitty, and does not have the massive size, stuck-out tooth and shiny coat of Mr. Amanojaku. Kiki has bold, yellow eyes that are often opened wide. They have a black nose. Their coat shines slightly red in light.
Sightings
October 2024
- October 19, 2024: At 6:27 AM (LFT), Kiki was sighted for the first time. Kiki was first thought to be Mr. Amanojaku, until it was noticed that Kiki did not have Mr. Amanojaku's characteristic stuck-out tooth. When Kiki was first spotted, they were looking around, looking concerned, while one of their paws was inside the bowl. They got very close to the camera and stared very hard. When snacks were dropped, they immediately ran out of the feeder, but stayed close by. They cautiously watched the feeder for a few more seconds before deciding to go away for good at 6:30. Even though their first visit was only three minutes long, it was already apparent that Kiki had that distinctive GOODCAT flair about them.
- October 24, 2024: At 3:50 PM (LFT), Kiki was spotted sniffing around the feeder. They then sniffed around the bowl, again sticking their face in the camera and looking up into the dispenser to see if food was on its way out. When no food was dropped, they stuck their arm under the bowl to try and retrieve food that was stuck underneath. Kibble and snacks were eventually dropped, and this time, they didn't even flinch when they heard the food dropping. They happily ate before a dog scared them away at 3:54. At 3:57, after the dog left, Kiki cautiously reentered the feeder, just to be met with a now empty bowl. However, more food was almost immediately dropped, and Kiki was able to eat once more.
- October 29, 2024: At 7:53 AM (LFT), Kiki was seen laying in the feeder. Snacks and kibble were soon dropped, and they began eating, making many funny faces in the process. They heard a big car driving by, and ran out of the feeder, but stayed close by. When more food was dropped, they reentered. Soon after, Mr. Domino showed up to the feeder, standing right outside toward the back while watching Kiki eat. Kiki turned around and sniffed his face, then went back to eating. Mr. Domino then sniffed their butt. After that, Mr. Domino left to do something else, and Kiki was able to eat in peace before leaving a couple of minutes later.
- October 30, 2024: At 10:16 PM (LFT), Kiki was seen sniffing around the empty bowl. They stuck their nose up into the dispenser to sniff for food. Soon after, snacks were dropped. They shoved their head into the bowl fast enough to get covered in falling snack crumbs. Kiki enjoyed both the chicken snacks and the kibble that was later dropped. Over the next hour or so, Kiki would leave and return to the feeder several times.
- November 12, 2024: At 1:55 (CHN) Was spotted eating remaining kibble. After a kind donator gave some fresh kibble, ate it and left no crumbs. than proceed to sit with a piece of food stuck in mouth. By 2:00 drifted into a peaceful sitting slumber. However it was interrupted by fresh portion of kibble, and than some more
