Apollo
Apollo is a kitten that appears at A Litter of Cats Who Love Each Other. Apollo is noted for being a very beautiful and normal-looking cat, especially compared to the many interesting-looking cats that visit the feeder. Apollo was named after the Greek god of the same name, who is stated by some sources to be the most beautiful Greek god. It is unknown who Apollo's parents are; he has always shown up to the feeder alone. Apollo was first sighted by the global community on January 11, 2025.
Behavior
Apollo is a fairly fearless cat. From his first appearance, he barely even flinched when food was dropped, something that sends most other new kittens flying out of the feeder. He is very patient, willing to sit in front of the feeder for long periods of time to wait for food. At first, he ate both chicken snacks and kibble but, over time, has developed a preference for kibble. When there is no kibble in the bowl, he sometimes digs under the bowl for stuck pieces, or digs in the kibble dispenser with his paws, trying to get more kibble to drop.
His patience and determination extends to his interaction with other cats. He is not afraid to wait just outside the feeder while other cats eat. Even when he is hissed and swatted at by other cats, he remains unfazed and readily enters the feeder as soon as the other cats leave. When other cats approach him, he is not afraid to hiss at them. While Apollo is assertive, he does not initiate active conflict with other cats, only getting aggressive when provoked. He prefers to assert himself with his mere presence.
Appearance
Apollo is a silver tabby with very defined, dark stripes. He is a beautiful cat, and has none of the Bob-like features seen in many other cats at the feeder. He often is seen with his eyes wide. He has no white spotting. He has a black nose.

Sightings
January 2025
- January 11, 2025:
- Around 6:55 AM (LFT), Apollo was seen for the first time. Lots of chicken snacks were dropped for him, but he was only a little bit startled; he never got scared and ran out of the feeder. He left at some point in the next 20 minutes.
- Around 7:30 PM (LFT), Apollo was seen at the feeder, sniffing the ground as the bowl was empty. When kibble was dropped, he looked up, but he did not seem as interested in the kibble as he was in the chicken snacks earlier in the day.
- Around 9:30 PM (LFT), Apollo was seen at the feeder again. He sat politely and watched as more chicken snacks were dropped for him. After looking around for a second, he began to eat them.
- January 12, 2025:
- Around 6:00 AM (LFT), Apollo was seen huddling in the crack between the feeder and the black tarp, growling at Maurice, who was standing just outside the feeder, sniffing around. Given Maurice's history with other cats' kittens, it's likely Maurice behaved aggressively toward Apollo before this.
- Around 12:30 PM (LFT), Apollo arrived at the feeder while Justin was eating. Apollo began to crawl into the crack next to the feeder when Justin approached him, causing him to jump out and hiss at Justin. Justin stood back and watched as Apollo continued exploring the crack. Apollo hissed at Justin a couple more times after the two accidentally got too close. Around 12:37, Justin left, and Apollo entered the feeder. After sniffing around, he began to eat the chicken snacks that were being dropped for it. Around 12:40, Dan approached the feeder and watched Apollo eat. After a minute, Dan ran into the bushes, causing Apollo to look up and watch for a second. No further interaction between them happened.
- January 16, 2025: Around 6:00 PM (LFT), Apollo was seen sitting in front of the bowl. He watched in an elegant pose as chicken snacks and kibble were dropped for him.
- January 20, 2025: Around 5:55 AM (LFT), Apollo was seen eating chicken snacks. A minute later, Maurice approached the feeder and hissed at Apollo, causing Apollo to cower against the inner tarp. As Maurice continued hissing at him, he slipped under the tarp. However, when he did so, Cob suddenly stuck her head out from under the tarp and hissed at Apollo too. It became clear, then, that Apollo was caught in the middle of a battle between Maurice and Cob (who became sworn enemies after they both had kittens). Apollo managed to escape unharmed from this frightening situation.
- January 26, 2025: Around 10:35 AM (LFT), Apollo was seen standing fully inside the empty bowl. When kibble was dropped, he didn't even flinch; he just began eating right away.
- January 27, 2025: Around 4:20 AM (LFT), Apollo was seen sitting in front of the bowl, which only contained kibble. A few minutes later, Mack appeared and watched Apollo eat from the crack between the tarp and the wall. A few minutes later, Mack moved to the other side of the feeder, and an adult brown tabby moved into the crack. They both then watched Apollo eat. Apollo soon noticed that he was surrounded, but didn't act. The brown tabby stuck his head through the tarp, but pulled his head back out and did not try to enter again. When Apollo was finished eating, he stayed inside the feeder.
- January 31, 2025: Around 1:50 PM (LFT), Apollo was seen sniffing around the empty bowl. He stuck his arm under the bowl several times, trying to reach food that was stuck underneath. Soon after, though, Wife Guy left, and Apollo was able to enter the feeder and eat.

- Around 4:15 PM (LFT), Apollo was seen standing outside the feeder while Rob ate inside and Theo watched from the crack between the feeder and the wall. A few minutes later, Theo scared Rob out of the feeder, then began eating; Apollo stayed where he was and watched. After Theo ate for a couple minutes, Apollo slowly entered the feeder and stood behind Theo. When Theo looked behind him and noticed Apollo was there, they did not hiss at or attack each other, but they both scrambled out of the feeder.

March 2025

- Around 1:40 PM (LFT), Apollo was seen sitting in the crack between the feeder and the wall while Rob ate. Eventually, Rob left, and Apollo entered the feeder and began eating. A few minutes later, Justin showed up and watched Apollo eat from the crack. Justin slowly walked along the length of the gap between the feeder and the wall, then turned around and sat down in the gap, next to the feeder. The kibble dispenser then became jammed, and no more kibble was able to be dropped. In response to this, Apollo stuck his head under the bowl, trying to eat stray pieces of kibble that were underneath. He got very close to Justin while doing this (although they were separated by the clear tarp), but Justin didn't act. When snacks were dropped, and Apollo went back to eating from the bowl, Justin very slowly entered the feeder and sat in the gap between the bowl and the tarp. Apollo did not do anything to Justin for several minutes, and Justin simply sat in the gap, watching Apollo eat with a wide-eyed expression. Apollo then swatted at Justin, and Justin hissed back in response. A few minutes later, Justin slowly left the feeder. A minute later, Hubert jumped down from the roof of the feeder. When she tried to jump back up, she missed, and the noise from her fall scared Apollo out of the feeder. Hubert then entered and began eating, but Apollo stuck around, watching Hubert eat from the gap. After a minute, Hubert hissed at Apollo, then ran out of the feeder. Apollo entered the feeder once more, but didn't eat, as there were only chicken snacks in the bowl.
- March 5, 2025: Around 9:35 PM (LFT), Apollo was seen eating kibble. Soon, kibble and chicken snacks were dropped for him, but he only touched the kibble. Shortly after that, a brown tabby scared Apollo from the feeder.
- March 6, 2025: Around 7:30 AM (LFT), Apollo was seen laying in the gap between the feeder and the wall while Vegeta ate. A minute later, Vegeta left, and Apollo entered the feeder. Apollo only got to eat for a little bit before a brown tabby chased it out of the feeder, leading to a loud confrontation off-screen.
