Used Dishrag, is one of the long-haired cats found at the Team BingBing Helps Stray Cats Find Their Forever Home compound. He was coined the name, Used Dishrag, because of his appearance being adjacent to a used dishrag at the time of his first appearance, mainly due to some matting on his body.
Dishrag joined the BingBing family in December of 2023, after being rescued from the wild, where he had been after being abandoned by a cattery in the summer of 2023. His fur was dirty and severely matted. Likely the outcome of irresponsible breeding, he possesses crooked teeth, scraggly fur, a flat face, and a strange voice. Along with his diagnosis of stomatitis from 2024 - 2025, which made his ability to groom even worse than before- which is why he is shaved constantly. Due to his pre-existing health conditions, he is unable to be adopted, and is living permanently at the shelter.
He seems to be blind in his right eye, which identifies him as one of the Majima cats of the feeders, otherwise known as the one-eyed cats.
Used Dishrag is mainly spotted at Feeder 1 and Feeder 3 of the Bingbing Feeder series.
Behavior
During his visits to the Feeder, Used Dishrag can mainly be seen sleeping, or eating. Specifically using his paws in order to scoop up food from the feeder. Otherwise, Dishrag is a typical cat- as typical as a Team BingBing cat can be. He is described by the caretakers as kind hearted and loving.
Appearance
Although scraggly looking, Used Dishrag is a charming fellow. At his initial appearance to the English Community, he was extremely matted and dirty looking with his coat being tinted brown. However, in more recent times it seems that he has gotten quite a few shaves, ranging from a fur cut strictly on his underside, to a full shave in the hotter seasons; and his coat is closer to a clean white.
Often times when at the Feeder, Used Dishrag's tooth is a prominent feature of his appearance as it sticks out of his mouth.
Sightings
May 2024
- May 07, 2024: Used Dishrag was first spotted by the English Community at 06:49AM (LFT), he was simply napping at Feeder 1, though his appearance stuck out as extremely matted, and unkempt, bestowing him the name, Used Dishrag.
August 2024
- August 28, 2024: Sleeping at Feeder 1, accompanied by Mr. Yankee, Used Dishrag was lounging around and getting a good nights rest around 03:16AM (LFT). He appeared to be shaved at this sighting.
October 2024:
- October 15, 2024: Used Dishrag was again spotted at Feeder 1 sleeping in the early morning, around 08:31AM (LFT). He assumed his typical sleeping position, and slept peacefully.
- October 16, 2024: Making another appearance at Feeder 1, Used Dishrag was spotted on the wooden patio floor adjacent to the feeder, accompanying Mr. Boss, who was sleeping in the feeder. This was around 12:34AM (LFT).
- October 29, 2024: Around 03:00PM (LFT), Used Dishrag was seen at Feeder 1 attempting to shovel out food from under the feeder bowl using their paws. Their underside was completely shaved, giving them an extremely freakish look.
January 2025
- January 10, 2025: Used Dishrag made an appearance at Feeder 2 around 01:30PM, where he was seen staring at the cat eating from the feeder bowl. Staring extremely intently....
February 2025:
- February 12, 2025: Around 10:09PM, Used Dishrag was found at Feeder 3 with his crooked teeth sticking out especially. He was accompanied by Mr. Boss and the two were extremely asleep.
March 2025
- March 10, 2025: Making an appearance at Feeder 3, he was seen guarding Mr. Shatei around 03:30PM while he was taking a nap.
- March 19, 2025: Dishrag was seen shortly at Feeder 2, around 11:58PM (LFT), until he was scared away from the feeder by Ms. Lotus.
April 2025
- April 09, 2025: At 08:32AM (LFT), Used Dishrag was spotted at Feeder 2, again using his paws to dig out food from the feeder, making a tiny mess on the feeder floor. Very stupid.
