Mr. Edo, sometimes referred to as Mr. Suit or Mr. Thief, is a tuxedo cat that can be seen frequenting the Ten Thousand Kitties House (万猫屋) alongside his sister, Ms. Tux. His relationship with Mrs. Dress is said to be friends by their feeder's respective caretaker, though Mrs. Dress is sometimes seen swatting at him.
Mr. Edo and Mrs. Dress are rarely together in the same room, as Mr. Edo has incurred Mrs. Dress' wrath several times due to his constant thievery of her wet food. However, when Mr. Edo has received Mrs. Dress' inexplicit permission, the two are usually very calm around the other, though Mr. Edo never stays for long.
Despite speculations to the contrary, Mr. Edo and his sister, Ms. Tux, are strays who frequent Mrs. Dress' feeder's current location and its old location. They are neither Mrs. Dress' siblings nor are they adopted by Mrs. Dress' caretaker.
Behavior
Mr. Edo is a very calm and quiet cat, never seen fighting back despite Mrs. Dress' constant protests and only ever making noise when he comes and goes. He is absurdly determined yet also slightly picky as he is rarely ever seen eating the kibble itself, opting for Mrs. Dress' wet food instead, even though the caretaker gives him a separate bowl of it outside the feeder.
Additionally, he often eats by grabbing the food with his paws rather than eating from it with his mouth, giving him a more elegant and sophisticated appearance compared to other stray cats. It's very likely that this behavior stemmed from his mother, Mama Tortoiseshell, as she has been caught eating in the same fashion.
He is also very loving, and can often be seen carried around and petted by the caregiver, along with being more playful compared to Mrs. Dress, as you can see him run around outside from the back cam occasionally.
Appearance
Mr. Edo is a tuxedo cat with a white underbelly and paws, along with a completely black top. The most important distinction between him and his sister Ms. Tux is that he has a black nose while Ms. Tux has a white nose. His left ear is clipped.
He is also blind in his right eye and overall has bad eyesight, which results in him getting into situations that other cats would've had the foresight to avoid.
Notable Sightings
March 2024
- March 01, 2024: At 10:14 PM (LFT), while Mrs. Dress was busy receiving the caretaker's affections, Mr. Edo was seen playing around in the background.
- March 04, 2024: At 09:51 PM (LFT), he was smacked by Mrs. Dress with her paw after having witnessed him steal the wet food she'd been given by the caretaker. Mr. Edo did not back off, however. In fact, he became even more determined to eat from her bowl, resulting in Mrs. Dress conceding and eating alongside him.
- March 14, 2024: Perhaps he was feeling quite daring that day, but Mr. Edo was seen patting and/or bonking Mrs. Dress on the head with his paw as she looked at him with judgement.
- March 15, 2024: Mr. Edo gave Mrs. Dress a peck on the lips while the morning caretaker was there to rearrange Mrs. Dress' lodgings, it was caught on camera and ended up being edited into a fancam by both the Chinese and English Ten Thousand Kitties House fandom.
- March 16, 2024: Mrs. Dress was feeling extraordinarily feisty that day and beat Mr. Edo out of the feeder twice. Not that he minded in the slightest, as he kept coming inside to eat anyways. What a greedy goober!
May 2024
- May 17, 2024: Mr. Edo was spotted eating kibbles at around 16:58 LFT.
(Not every cat sighting is documented.)
