Huo is a Tuxedo cat that appears at Huanzi Animal Rescue Base. His name comes from the Chinese word huǒ (火), which means fire/anger; he is one of two Tuxedos at the feeder (along with Yan) who is known for their fiery temper. He was first sighted by the global community on July 14, 2024.
Behavior
Huo is one of the more menacing cats at the feeder. He regularly swats at cats for coming too close to him; he also swats cats with no obvious provocation. Like Yan, he is not the biggest eater; it is not uncommon to see him enter the feeder, smell the food (or just smell around), then leave. While he is happy to enter the feeder while other cats eat, he often leaves the feeder when other cats come in while he's eating.
While he seems to dominate over most other cats, Azula can put him in his place around her with just a glare.
Appearance
Huo is a Tuxedo cat. He has less white spotting than many other Tuxedo cats. His face is almost entirely black, with just a small patch of white under his mouth, on his chin. There is a narrow band of white stretching from his chest down his stomach. His front legs are entirely black; only his front paws are white. Interestingly, his back legs are almost entirely white.
Sightings
- July 16, 2024: At 9:57 AM (LFT), Huo entered the feeder while Cousin Chill slept outside. He sniffed the food and thought about eating. When he began to eat a minute later, Mr. Quartz entered and laid right behind him. He then left the feeder. At 10:05, he returned and ate some more. He left at 10:07.
- July 17, 2024: At 6:22 AM (LFT), Huo looked inside the feeder while Cool Whip was happily relaxing inside. He decided against eating and left.
- July 18, 2024: At 8:44 AM (LFT), Huo entered the feeder while Mr. Socks was eating. He proceeded to walk around Mr. Socks and eat from the bowl at the same time as him. This caused Mr. Socks to leave the feeder. Huo himself left at 8:46.
- July 26, 2024:
- At 7:00 AM (LFT), Huo entered the feeder while Mrs. Decade was eating and Mr. Socks was relaxing outside. Huo first bopped Mrs. Decade out of the feeder. He ate a little, then sat back up and bopped Mr. Socks away from the feeder too. He left at 7:05.
- At 10:09 AM (LFT), Huo was seen sitting outside the feeder. Mr. Paw soon entered and sat behind him. Huo left at 10:13.
- July 28, 2024: At 8:20 AM (LFT), Huo was seen sniffing around the feeder. He eventually started eating. While he ate, Azula sat down outside the feeder and watched him. He left at 8:22.
