Ms. Floofy is a cat seen at YiShan Stray Cat Base 3 (易善流浪猫基地3). She was named for her very floofy appearance compared to the other cats at her feeder, something that's even more impressive as this feeder sees multiple longhaired and semi-longhaired cats. She was first sighted by the global community on July 24, 2024.
Behavior
Ms. Floofy regularly lashes out at other cats. She is known to claw cats, hiss at them, and pounce on them. Generally, she will attack cats that enter the feeder while she's there, especially if they get close to her, although Ms. Floofy will sometimes glare at them multiple times before choosing to go at them. Weirdly enough, many cats are able to sit in the feeder with her if she's eating, but she attacks cats who eat with her, although she doesn't do so immediately.
When she's alone, Ms. Floofy is a much more peaceful and relaxed cat. She is willing to wait a long time in the feeder for food to be dropped. Unlike some other cats, she doesn't smack the dispenser or harass the feeder when there's no food; she will simply sit and wait for some to be dropped. Other activities she likes include sitting in loaf formation and taking naps close to the inside wall of the feeder.
Appearance
Ms. Floofy is a Longhaired Tortie. Her fur is longer than that of most of the other cats at the feeder. Because she has so much fur, it sometimes appears that she has long fur covering her nose and mouth; however, this is not the case. Her face and paws are mostly black; the rest of her has orange and black spotting throughout.
Sightings
July 2024
- July 24, 2024: At 7:47 AM (LFT), Ms. Floofy was seen laying inside the feeder. Eventually, she got up to eat. While she was eating, a black and white longhaired cat entered the feeder and sat down. After a minute, Mr. Floofy hissed at the cat, causing it to recoil.
- July 25, 2024: At 10:33 AM (LFT), Ms. Floofy was seen eating at the feeder while a Calico was laying inside. While eating, she very frequently stopped to glare at her. Ultimately, this visit ended without incident; she left at 10:36.
- July 26, 2024:
- At 5:36 AM (LFT), Ms. Floofy was seen siting in the feeder with an orange cat and a black and white cat, waiting for food. When food was dropped, Ms. Floofy went to eat; she periodically looked back the entire time to make sure the orange cat wouldn't move. Eventually, Ms. Floofy clawed at the orange cat and the orange cat ran out of the feeder. She then continued eating. A minute later, she pounced on top of the black and white cat sitting in the feeder, causing it to cower in the corner for its safety. Ms. Floofy went back to eating, and left a minute later.
- At 6:08 PM (LFT), Ms. Floofy was seen relaxing alone in the feeder. A few minutes later, an orange cat jumped up onto the feeder and inched its way closer to the bowl; Ms. Floofy glared at it before lunging at it, causing it to run out of the feeder. At 6:31, a small Torbie entered the feeder and laid down; Ms. Floofy did not attack this cat, and even moved toward the back of the feeder a little to make room for it. A minute later, a black and white cat entered the feeder. Ms. Floofy did claw this cat, but it continued its way inside and sat down next to the kitten without further issue. The three cats relaxed for a while. At 6:44, the black and white cat tried to leave the feeder, but as Ms. Floofy was sitting by the exit, he got too close to her, and she clawed him. He went back and sadly sat by the inside wall of the feeder, trapped inside by Ms. Floofy. After a long while, food was dropped, and all three cats ate from the feeder at once. The black and white cat pulled out, leaving Ms. Floofy and the Torbie. Ms. Floofy clawed at the Torbie's face, and the Torbie froze. A minute later, she clawed at its face again, and it took its head out of the bowl, allowing Ms. Floofy to eat alone. Ms. Floofy left a minute later.
