Mai is a tortoiseshell cat at the Huanzi Animal Rescue Base feeders. She is one of three torties that reside at the base. While she can be seen at both feeders, she is typically seen at the second feeder watching her surroundings. Mai was named after a character from the American animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender^[1], matching Azula's and Zuko's theme of names.

Behavior

Mai is a very observant cat. Her mornings and afternoons are typically spent watching what other cats do while sitting proudly at the second feeder. She isn't territorial over the second feeder, however she is always either in, or nearby the feeder, and doesn't tend to go far from it unless needed.

Appearance

Mai is a short haired tortoiseshell cat. She has good mix of orange and black throughout her body. However, unlike Azula and Zuko who both have very identifying markings on their face, Mai can be easily spotted by her face being completely black, aside from some tiny orange markings.

Sightings

September 2024

September 22, 2024: At 11:51 AM (LFT), Mai showed up at the second feeder. She was investigating the feeder for a little bit, then sat down to look around the current surroundings.

October 2024

October 21, 2024: At 01:34 AM (LFT), Mai lounged around at the second feeder watching her surroundings as per usual, until she started to space out. She was lost in thought for a good minute or two before resuming her viewing experience.
October 31, 2024: At 10:45 AM (LFT), Mai sat at the back at the second feeder feeder doing her favorite activity of watching. At some point though, she got up and stared intently at the camera for no good reason.

November 2024

November 09, 2024: At 12:01 PM (LFT), Mai urged Mr. Diamond to get out of the second feeder, to which she went back to her usual routine of sitting and watching, even falling asleep on the job.
November 20, 2024: At 01:57 AM (LFT), Mai showed up at the second feeder for a quick bite at the feeder. Afterwards, she went towards the back of the feeder, and did her usual duty: watching all the cats.
