Mr. Beetle is a cat that first appeared on February 16th. He got his name after the sloppy beetle-like shape on the stripes of his back. It is likely that his mother painted it herself when he was fresh out of the womb.
On May 8th, 2024, Mr. Beetle's feat of consuming kibble for a continuous 28 minutes surpassed the previous record held by TGB by a significant margin of 3 minutes. This remarkable accomplishment firmly establishes Mr. Beetle's dominance in the realm of kibble consumption, earning him recognition as the new champion. With TGB graciously acknowledging defeat, Mr. Beetle now holds the esteemed title of the undisputed Kibble Destroyer Champion.
Behavior
He seems to be quite skittish, looking around and making sure the coast was clear, while also being polite, waiting his turn to eat.
Appearance
He is a brown tabby with black stripes all across his back and a large black stripe around the shoulder area and white coloration on the inner area around his eyes and his snout.
It should be noted that Mr. Beetle looks very similar to Ms. Chunky. To tell the difference, note that the blob on Ms. Chunky's back is lower and there is less of a gap between it and the tail marking, while Mr. Beetle's is higher and has a larger gap. Additionally, the bottom of Mr. Beetle's "beetle" has a butt with legs coming out of the sides, while Ms. Chunky's is more cricket-like in shape, with legs sticking out the bottom. He is easy to confuse with Ms. Takeout from afar.
Sightings
February 2024
- February 16th, 2024: Around 8:42 AM (UTC+8), Mr. Beetle made his first appearance wherein he ate in the feeder then left.
- February 21st, 2024: when the feeder was broken for several hours, Mr. Beetle was seen attempting to "fix" it for 10 minutes straight. He managed to get a few bits of food out of the dispenser.
- February 22nd, 2024: At 6:50 (UTC+8), He appeared wherein he ate for a while and then left.
- February 29th 2024: At 11:34 PM (Cam Time), Mr. Beetle was eating when Mr. Puke appears, and slaps Mr. Beetle. Beetle runs away.
March 2024
- March 6th, 2024 Mr. Beetle was spotted at around 1:44 PM (CST) for an approximately 3 minute long snack.
- March 9th, 2024: Mr. Beetle visited again at around 12:52 AM (local feeder time) for a snack.
- March 11th, 2024: Mr. Beetle appeared, looking around and starting eating.
- March 15th, 2024: At 11:59 PM (local feeder time), Mr. Beetle at some kibble, shortly followed by Mr. Crunch, who waited somewhat impatiently for his turn.
- March 16th, 2024: Mr. Beetle returned around 12:20 AM (local feeder time) for another short snack.
- March 19th, 2024: At around 3:42 PM (local feeder time) Mr. Beetle was seen eating kibble from the almost empty dispenser and subsequently reaching into the upper parts of the feeder with his paw to drop a few more pieces of kibble into the bottom of the feeder.
- March 20th, 2024: At 11:04 AM (local feeder time) Mr. Beetle was seen waiting impatiently for Mr. Bald to finish eating, eventually growling at him and scaring him off. He snacked for approximately 13 minutes, shortly followed by Goobert.
- March 26th, 2024: Mr.Beetle was seen at 1:05 AM and was eating and also it seemed as if Mr. Sonic passed through his feeder.
April 2024
- April 6th, 2024: Mr. Beetle was seen at 8:47 LFT eating heartily
- April 8th, 2024: Mr. Beetle arrived at approximately 8:50 AM (LFT) to eat after Ms. Inception. He ate for about ten minutes then left.
- April 23rd, 2024: Mr. Beetle ate for about 10 minutes, then got scared off by Mrs. Kirby, after Mrs. Kirby finished eating Mr. Beetle returned to grab another bite.
May 2024
- May 6th, 2024: At 11:12 PM (LFT) Mr. Beetle entered the feeder just after Mr. Turkey, eating and looking around occasionally, before leaving at around 11:16 PM (LFT)
- May 6th, 2024: Around 10:49 AM (feeder time) Mr. Beetle was seen chomping for a pretty short amount of time.
- May 7th, 2024: At 17:02 PM (local time), Mr. Beetle arrived and ate for around 5 minutes before leaving.
- May 7th, 2024: Mr. Beetoe arrived yet again at around 18:20 and ate for 3 minutes before being scared off by another cat.
- May 8th, 2024: Mr. Beetle has etched his name into the annals of history by accomplishing a remarkable feat: consuming kibble continuously for over 28 minutes. This achievement surpasses the previous record held by The Gluttonous Beast by approximately 3 minutes, firmly establishing Mr. Beetle as the reigning champion of kibble consumption in recorded history.
- May 9th, 2024: Mr. Beetle entered the feeder at approximately 8:13 PM (LFT). He stopped by for a quick snack, and left soon after.
