Yan is a Tuxedo cat that appears at Huanzi Animal Rescue Base. He was first sighted by the global community on July 14, 2024.
Behavior
Yan is one of the most menacing cats at the feeder. He regularly hisses at and scares cats away from the feeder so he can go inside. Oftentimes, he doesn't need to do anything more than walk inside the feeder; his mere presence scares the cats away. After the cats are gone from the feeder, he often just sits inside for a few minutes, then leaves; he doesn't even go near the food.
He has been seen eating; however, he doesn't seem to be a big eater, rarely finishing off what's in the bowl. Besides eating and exuding a terrifying aura, he enjoys sitting inside the feeder, even when he doesn't scare away a cat to do so. Despite his temperament, he does have a silly side to him; he can occasionally be seen making funny faces, and he once dug under the rug for fun, causing it to stick up significantly. As well, he has turned out to have a tiny, adorable meow.
Appearance
Yan is a Tuxedo cat. He has more white spotting than Huo, but less than Nuan. His most unique feature is the white on the right side of his face, which travels up his cheek and looks like a puff of smoke. Besides the patch of white around his mouth and chin, the rest of his head, including his nose, is completely black. His front legs are completely black, except for his paws; his back legs are almost completely white.
Sightings
- July 14, 2024: At 12:02 PM (LFT), Yan was seen eating at the feeder. When he finished off the food, he sat down and looked around for a minute. He left at 12:05.
- July 16, 2024: At 1:23 AM (LFT), Yan entered the feeder and sat down, staring at Mr. Gingko, who was thinking about jumping onto the feeder’s roof. Gingko decided to instead enter the feeder, but immediately left once he felt Yan’s terrifying aura. With The Guardian and Mr. Swirly watching from the left, Yan simply sat inside the feeder. He did not even think about approaching the bowl, which had food inside. He left at 1:26.
- July 17, 2024:
- At 7:27 AM (LFT), Yan walked through the feeder while Cool Whip was relaxing inside. He circled around and sat down next to the feeder. He left at 7:30.
- At 8:22 AM (LFT), he returned and scared Azula out of the feeder. He picked at the remaining crumbs in the bowl, then sat up, making some silly faces. A few minutes after, another cat came and watched him from outside the feeder. Food was eventually dropped, and Yan ate some of this before leaving at 8:34.
- July 19, 2024: At 6:26 AM (LFT), Yan was seen sitting in the feeder. Yan stared at the bowl, waiting for food. Food was finally dropped for him at 6:30.
- July 21, 2024: Around 4:30 AM (LFT), Yan was seen hanging out at the feeder. He sat down, munched on his toes some, and looked at the camera. He dug under the rug, lifting it up off the ground and making a large cave out of it. He proceeded to leave when he was done with this.
- July 22, 2024: At 11:04 PM (LFT), Yan entered the feeder while Radical Man was inside. Radical Man hissed at him, then ran out of the feeder. Yan sat in the feeder, looking at the bowl while grooming himself some. He left around 11:10.
