Mr. Sceptic is a cat who appears on 海峡爱心小屋 (House of Compassion by the Strait), also known as Mr. Shock's feeder. His name comes from his moderately suspicious looks at the food or at the feeder cameras on occasion.

Behavior

Mr. Sceptic appears to be somewhat untrusting of the feeder's interior, sometimes looking into the feeder with his two front paws inside but usually deciding to pass on it. While he does go inside of it at times, he can put on a look which shows he's still not fully sure. He also sits at the feeder and observes, watching through the fence next to the feeder. He doesn't eat much from the bowl, but whenever he does, he tends to make silly faces. He is seemingly friendly with the other cats that hang around the feeder.

Appearance

His coat is all orange and white, with white taking up most of his face and underside, orange dominating his back and the top of his head, while orange and white sharing the sides. On his right side towards his rear, he has a white patch with a thin line that continues down to his belly area. He has a fairly distinct face, having a white diagonal line across his right side and an almost white left side under his eyes with orange blobs surrounding his mouth and nose. He has a pink nose, no marks on either ear and partially red eyelids.

Sightings

• March 11th, 2024: At around 21:00 (Local Feeder Time/China Standard Time). One of the earliest pictured sightings of Mr. Sceptic.
• March 12th, 2024: At around 01:00 (LFT), Mr. Sceptic was seen making a silly face.
• March 14th, 2024: At an unknown time, Mr. Sceptic was once again observed. He later came back to the feeder the same day to sit and ponder.
• April 4th, 2024: At around 15:36 (LFT), Mr. Sceptic arrived and ate food out of the second tub that was placed earlier that day by the caretaker. When he had enough, he once again sat and looked around, then eventually left.
• April 5th, 2024: At around 15:24 (LFT), Mr. Sceptic went into the feeder, gazed for a bit and left. He came back at 16:51 to peer inside, having his two front paws in the feeder, but left. He shown up a third time at 19:04 to this time eat from the bowl, briefly mimicking Mr. Shock when kibble was donated.
• April 6th, 2024: Ar around 18:28 (LFT), Mr. Sceptic had walked past the feeder. He came back at 19:41 (LFT), eating from the second tub. After a minute, he proceeded to look straight into the front camera of the feeder as if he knew people were watching him. He then left.
• April 8th, 2024: At around 03:33 (LFT), Mr. Sceptic popped into the feeder for a quick snack from the bowl for a minute or two. He later reappeared at 11:23 to eat for three minutes, peering over the fence and outside the feeder on occasion. He reappeared a third time at 19:30, outside of the feeder, then noticing something behind him and going after it in the dark.
• April 9th, 2024: At 14:27 (LFT), Mr. Sceptic was seen outside of the feeder staring at something. He then came into the feeder to eat up for two minutes and left. He reappeared for the day at 19:12 to eat some of the new food, but he didn't seem to like it and quickly moved on.
• April 10th, 2024: At 18:07 (LFT), Mr. Sceptic entered the feeder just as the caretaker had dropped off the tubs of food. He ate for roughly four minutes until he went back outside. He was then seen running back and forth, presumably playing with another cat, and came back again to the feeder in an attempt to chase down a fly.
• April 15th, 2024: At 03:38 (LFT), Mr. Sceptic came into the feeder for a quick pit stop of food before heading back out. He was later spotted at 04:27 when other cats were around, seemingly in a quite investigative mood while getting a few more bites of food.
• April 16th, 2024: At 03:18 (LFT), Mr. Sceptic arrived for a few minutes of munching, watching through the fence at times. He left by jumping onto the wall with the fence and squeezing past the feeder.
• April 17th, 2024: At 04:59 (LFT), Mr. Sceptic shown up for his usual early morning meal, having a bunch of bites of kibble, then the food in the plastic tub inside of the feeder, and back to the kibble briefly.
• April 23rd, 2024: During the early morning, Mr. Sceptic came by to eat and do his usual habit of peering through the fence beside the feeder.
